2. 200 recipes that use some cabbage
3. A desire to waste an entire half cabbage
4. A desire to aid your local cabbage merchant who’s struggling financially because so much of their crop was destroyed in a series of bizarre incidents involving a twelve-year-old martial artist.
If you haven’t seen the new Try Guys video here’s a run down:
•Eugene looks so incredibly pissed off the entire time and has to pause while talking once because he’s so mad
•Keith looks exhausted
•Zach’s voice breaks at one point and he clearly tears up
•they found out about the affair over Labor Day weekend when fans contacted them. They immediately suspended Ned and worked with lawyers and an HR rep to conduct a thorough review. During this time, they edited Ned out of content (they greatly thanked their staff several times).
•Based on this review they officially removed Ned on September 16.
•they had plans to release a bigger better statement but the internet got ahead of them. They are still working on that statement.
•they will be editing Ned out of anything pre-filmed but there is content that is forever lost because of Ned’s involvement.
•they acknowledge how sexist the internet can be and asked for people to think about what they post. They also ask for privacy and understanding for their staff and the family impacted.
•they will continue moving forward with a new era of the Try Guys
I’ve never seen a scandal handled better than the Try Guys are handling the Ned situation and their most recent video just proved this. I really hope the channel does not suffer because they have handled everything incredibly classy while still remaining as honest and transparent as they legally can. I genuinely do believe Keith, Eugene, and Zach as well as the rest of the employees working under them are good people, which is rare to see in influencers. And how they’re handling this situation shows it.
Watching the new Try Guys video, I can rest easy at night knowing that the moment Eugene found out about all this, he must’ve went fucking OFF at Ned.
Look at his face that entire video. And this is days later. I can’t even imagine how furious he was in the moment, for all of them, for Ariel and their kids. He must’ve tore into him.
no bc the LAYERS to this?? like not only is it a public figure cheating on his wife and the mother of his TWO children. his entire personality is loving his wife he was the goddamn legend of LOVE. AND he didn’t just cheat on his wife with some random woman it’s his PRODUCER! and bc hes the owner of the company thats his subordinate! AND alex (his producer) was ENGAGED! and you would think “oh well shes not the focal point of the channel shes just a producer so why do people care about her relationship” BECAUSE THEY WERE ACTIVELY MAKING VIDEOS WHERE SHES PLANNING HER WEDDING!! we saw her try on wedding dresses! they did a whole bridesmaid dress video!! like she was also very publicly in a relationship about to be married. AND ON TOP OF THAT it’s not just like ned goes into an office and leaves ariel at home (i.e. having separation between work and home) no bc ariel ALSO WORKS WITH THEM AT THE OFFICE! she has worked with alex!!! SHE HAS WORKED WITH AND KNOWS AND WAS SEEMINGLY FRIENDS WITH HIS MISTRESS!!! like you couldnt write a messier affair its all fucking buck wild
i think it would be funny if they try guys replaced ned with ariel and never acknowledged it ever. “hey, we’re the try guys, keith, eugene, ariel, and zach! what? ‘where’s ned?’ ‘why is ariel here?’ what are you talking about? ariel’s been here the whole time! we’ve never even met anyone named ned.”
